Bear Facts is the product of Mike Burke, who's parents, and probably most of the known universe, sincerely wish he'd done something else with his life. It¹s a single panel cartoon, as I can¹t afford to buy much ink, and the situations and characters are different every day, making it much easier to copy whatever funny cartoon I read by someone else and claim it as my own. It¹s working though, as editors have been frequently heard to have said, ³This is the funniest cartoon I¹ve ever read.² Or was it, ³This sucks - get the hell out of my office.² I get those two mixed up. There are over 2250 Bear Facts today. So far, eleven have been funny and four have been well drawn. Bear Facts appears in lots of Aussie papers (I paid a private-eye to get compromising pictures of editors), two major Asian papers and two Scandinavian comics (Apparently when translated to another language some of the punchlines inadvertently become amusing - if you don¹t understand any of my jokes, try reading them in Finnish).
