The iLiad Book Edition is not equipped with a built-in WiFi module for downloading the latest news, but otherwise has the same features as the original iLiad. The Book Edition, comes pre-loaded with 50 books. With plenty of internal memory that can be extended up to 8 gigabytes, it is no longer necessary to choose which book to take: the iLiad Book Edition can fit an entire library in a pocket. Included with the iLiad book edition is a stylus, a charger, travel hub and USB cable.

The iLiad 2nd Edition

The best e-reader now gets even better it is now stronger and more powerful

The iLiad 2nd edition features a fully redesigned back casing that looks more elegant and also provides greater stability when the iLiad is laying on a surface. It is not just the outside that looks different. On the inside the new casing offers more rigidity to the display and electronics, reducing the risk of breakage.

With a new battery that holds almost 20% more power the new iLiad allows you to read books, newspapers and documents for longer without recharging. Depending on the way you use the iLiad the new battery enables you to read for up to 15 hours.

In addition to the new back casing, the travel hub has also been redesigned. It is now smaller and lighter, and is more portable. Mobility is important to many users, so we have included a protective sleeve to reduce the risk of damaging the iLiad while on the move.

The iLiad 2nd edition comes with the latest software version 2.11. This version is part of the continuous software updates that are offered free to all registered iLiad users. As in the previous software versions support for reading PDF, HTML, Text and Mobipocket files is included and with the complementary PC Companion Software you can easily convert almost any document on your PC to an iLiad readable format.

Taking notes and annotating PDF documents was an existing part of the iLiad software, but version 2.11 provides a huge improvement when it comes to annotation. The stylus calibration option enables greater accuracy of the stylus on the display.

Connecting to a wireless network can sometimes be difficult. The new connection manager makes this easy, you can simply select any of the available networks and connect.  ...more
